Preventive care
The work you never need.
- Twice yearly
- Scan, photograph and written plan

This is the least glamorous thing we do and the one that decides everything else. A studio that is good at prevention does less restorative work on the same patients over twenty years, which is the only measure of dentistry that matters.
What it gives you
- Forty-five minute recalls rather than fifteen
- Early-stage caries found by imaging rather than by symptoms
- Gum health tracked as a number over time, not a passing impression
- A written record of what changed since the last visit
Assessment
Full charting, periodontal measurements and comparison against your own previous readings.
Imaging
Low-dose imaging at intervals set by your risk, not by a fixed calendar.
Hygiene
Guided cleaning, plus the specific technique changes that apply to your mouth rather than general advice.
Plan
A written note of what we found, what changed, and what we are watching.
Digital charting that keeps a longitudinal record, so a two-millimetre change over three years is visible as a trend rather than lost between appointments.
- How often should I come?
- Twice a year suits most people. Higher-risk mouths benefit from three or four visits; low-risk ones sometimes need only one. We set it from your readings.
- Do you take x-rays every visit?
- No. Imaging is at intervals set by risk. Unnecessary exposure is not a neutral act.
- Is a hygienist visit enough?
- For cleaning, often yes. For diagnosis, no — the two appointments do different jobs and we schedule both.
